Newsletter Services
West-James Press uses Kit to manage newsletter subscriptions, send email communications, host certain public newsletter content, process some digital-product transactions, and deliver purchased digital products.
Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in an email. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails but may not delete records that must be retained for purchases, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or other legitimate business purposes.
Payments
Payments may be processed through Kit, Stripe, or other payment-service providers. West-James Press does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Payment providers process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Facebook and Meta Integration
West-James Press may use a privately administered Meta application or WordPress integration to publish website and newsletter content to the official West-James Press Facebook Page.
This integration is used for administrative publishing purposes. It is not offered as a public Facebook login service.
Depending on Meta’s requirements and the integration being used, the application may access limited information necessary to identify and manage the authorized Facebook Page, authenticate an administrator, and publish approved West-James Press content. This may include Page identifiers, administrator account identifiers, Page access permissions, and access tokens.
Information obtained through Meta is used only to operate the publishing integration. West-James Press does not sell information obtained through Meta or use it for unrelated advertising or profiling.

The website and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site functions, security, analytics, newsletter functions, embedded content, and transaction processing.
Third-party services may include:

Information Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, deliver newsletters, process transactions, provide digital products, publish content, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, or protect the rights and security of West-James Press and its users.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, court order, or a valid government request.
Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.

Information controlled independently by Kit, Stripe, Meta, hosting providers, or other third parties may also need to be addressed directly with those providers.
Data Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
The website and its commercial and newsletter services are not directed toward children under 13, and West-James Press does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
